Empowering openBIM Innovation
Building the serverless infrastructure backbone for the next generation of construction technology.
IFC made easy
We are on a mission to democratize BIM analysis. We recognize that dealing with IFC can be hard. Its complexity often creates a barrier that feels disconnected from modern development practices.
We exist to help modern developers use IFC reliably. By providing a scalable serverless infrastructure that bridges this gap, we remove the friction from building advanced construction software.
We believe that open standards are the path forward for an industry as complex as ours. Data and APIs should be accessible, interoperable, and built on a foundation of trust.
Built in the heart of technology
Eindhoven, The Netherlands
The silicon valley of Europe
MyBimApi is headquartered in Eindhoven, the "Brainport" region globally recognized as a hotspot for high-tech innovation. This ecosystem gave birth to giants like Philips and ASML, and continues to lead the world in technological advancement.
lightbulb Historic Location: The Lichttoren
We operate from the Lichttoren (Light Tower), a historic landmark that once served as the main lightbulb factory for Philips.
This building is a symbol of durability and innovation; the place where light was brought to the world. It is fitting that from this same location, we are now illuminating the future of the construction industry through open standards and digital transformation.
The Founders
Pioneers of the openBIM movement.
Thomas Krijnen
Co-Founder & CTOThomas is the creator of IfcOpenShell, the industry-standard open-source library for IFC processing. He literally wrote the book on this topic. His work has powered countless BIM applications and laid the groundwork for programmatic BIM analysis globally.
Léon van Berlo
Co-Founder & CEOLeading several innovations to bring BIM to the cloud long before CDEs were a thing. He has served in key leadership roles at buildingSMART shaping the protocols the industry relies on. Léon is a veteran advocate for open standards in both BIM and GIS.
Both Thomas and Léon hail from the Eindhoven region and share a no-nonsense approach to innovation. Their decades-long history of collaboration shows an impressive track record of dedication to open standards, and a passion for open source. They combine deep technical expertise and business acumen to enable businesses to create value by leveraging IFC and APIs in the AEC landscape.
